This last decade or so I've been building tiny net-connected systems for sustainable food with aquaponics, and teaching a course about the tech called COM3505, the Internet of Things. (The coursebook is called Mi Casa su Botnet? Learning the Internet of Things with WaterElf, unPhone and the ESP32, available at iot.unphone.net.)
As part of that work we developed a new IoT device called the unPhone; see unphone.net.
